  12. Hello , I have gcc 4.6.3 installed on my ubuntu. How can i remove it and reinstall 4.8 . Actually I asked my friend to install the 4.6.3 version as I am totally new to Linux but now want to do it by myself. So can you guide how to remove older version and install the new one.
