    I got it to work today.  I have ubuntu installed in a virtual machine on my windows 7 pc.  Try using Remmina as your remote desktop app.  Worked perfectly with a better interface.

  24. I used a thug drive .iso, which I cannot access in devices to to make this work, nor does the sudo commands work. Any suggestions?
