    Ten minutes for 2 commands...
    - On host, Create a shared folder with name SHARE_NAME (the name you want) to a local path.
    - On guest, enter commands:
    sudo mkdir /media/SHARE_NAME/
    sudo mount -t vboxsf SHARE_NAME /media/SHARE_NAME/

    Thanks for making this video. I followed the instructions same but it didn't work for me. Every thing worked but at last when I try to view the shared folder from Ubuntu its blank. Can anyone please help me with this. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and VBox 5.01

    The only problem is that this shared folder exists under c:Users, which is already shared by VirtualBox, and it doesn't cover how to accomplish this with a directory that resides outside of c:Users, for example, c:tempdata. This is significant, because there are security restrictions limiting people to their home directory.

    Hi, do you happen to know how it works if you have a cloudera quickstart VM 5.4.2.0 virtual box (from oracle VM virtual box) and a windows 7 system? I do not see the same VM tabs as in the video and do not get an option to install guest additions etc. Hope someone can help me out. Have already been seraching a lot. Thanks
