WordPress Posts Vs Pages - What is the difference?

One of the most commons problems new webmasters have is distinguishing the difference between WordPress posts and pages. I sure know I did! By the end of this video, you'll know the difference crystal clear.

What is the difference between posts and pages?

You should use posts for all the informational content you want to add to your website. This includes:

- How to tutorials
- Tips and advice
- Secrets within your niche

Furthermore, posts also have unique features, such as:

- Date: You're able to see when they were published online
- Categories: You're able to see their categories. This options is an easy way to organize your posts by topics. Your visitors can access the category page and see all the posts belonging to it.
-- Blog section: Your posts appear on the blog section of your website from the most recent one to the oldest.

What about WordPress Pages?

You should use pages for all the static information you want your visitors to easily find in your website. For instance:

- Contact page
- About page
- Policy Privacy

This type of information you won't change much along time. Yet, it may be important for your visitors.

Basically, you should use posts for all the main content you write in a daily or weekly basis offering tips, advice, etc. Otherwise pages for static info.
